Vacation Bible School
June 24 - June 28, 2018

We always have a lot of fun at VBS. A new camper, Erik, is already registered to attend. But Erik is really nervous about attending. Our camp counselor Alex is already on the lookout for Erik’s arrival so that he will have a wonderful experience. We are also on the lookout for other new hikers to join us this year. Will you be one of them?

If you are, Leola UMC has been working hard to meet the entire standards to follow a Safe Sanctuary policy. This year as part of the registration we need additional forms completed by parents or guardians in order to comply with the guidelines 1) Parent Information & 2) Parental Consent, General Waiver form. Please consider printing the form ahead of time off of our web site (links are at bottom of this page) or plan to arrive at 6:00 PM on Sunday June 24th to allow time to complete the forms. We want all the children to have a fun, safe, and enriching experience during our VBS week.

The hiking adventure will take place June 24 to June 28, 2018 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM right here at Leola UMC. Start working those leg muscles to be prepared for our climbs up and down the mountains.

The forms below are available for printing:

Our annual Community Easter Egg Hunt was held Saturday, March 29 at 10 AM.

We're  happy to see our children enjoying the nursery while the church service is held in the sanctuary.

Here are the links for the Safe Sanctuary Documents for our church.  Thank you to the people who worked hard to develop these documents.

Children's Ministry

Nursery Care is available during both services for children ages infant through age 4, or not yet in kindergarten.

The children are invited to GPS or Grow, Proclaim, Serve.  You can start out the morning in the 9:00a.m. Worship and after the offering the children will leave the Sanctuary for God’s Positioning System.  This will include Bibles stories, games, crafts, music, service projects, and also a visit to the Café.  We finish at 11:30a.m. when the second service has concluded.

Parents, you are invited to worship at either 9:00a.m., a traditional service, or 10:30a.m., a praise and worship service.  There are two adult Sunday School classes that meet at 10:30a.m.

If the month has a fifth Sunday, there will be no GPS for Children.  We encourage you to have your child participate in Worship with you.  There will be activities for the children during the Adult Sunday School time of  10:30 to 11:30a.m.

GPS replaces the designated Children’s Church and Sunday School for children.  Questions, see or call Joyce Hall.  We hope these changes are well received.
