Christmas Events at LUMC

We invite you to attend our services and activities to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. This link shows all the events for Dec.  Scroll to the bottom of the screen to access the link for printing a pointsettia order for the sanctuary.

Dec 15 (rescheduled from Dec 8)     5 PM  Christmas Dinner
Following dinner there will be an opportunity to sing some of our favorite Carols.   Each family is asked to bring two items, (a salad, a vegetable, or a dessert to share).  Ham, rolls, and beverage will be provided. If you have not signed up call the church office, the deadline is December 1.

Dec 15     9 AM  Service, Christmas Cantata

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! The Chancel Choir will be performing the cantata Bethlehem's Child by Victor Johnson and Lloyd Larson.  Please mark your calendars now.  This is music not to be missed!

Dec 15      2 PM Christmas Caroling
The chancel choir will lead this Christmas Caroling, and we encourage others to join us.  We will visit several church members. As we did last year, we hope to also stop at Conestoga View to spread some Christmas cheer.

Dec 24,   7 PM and 9 PM     Christmas Eve Services

Christmas Eve is always the highlight of the year as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Both services will include the singing of Christmas carols, listening to the Christmas story from Luke’s gospel, candle lighting and special music.  Everyone is welcome to attend our Christmas Eve services.

                                 Dec 25,   8 - 10 AM   Christmas Breakfast - Pancakes & Sausage

Come join us!  Leola United Methodist Church will be holding a Christmas morning pancake breakfast to try to bring some warmth of the season to our old and perhaps new friends. We invite anyone in the community to attend this event. The breakfast will be held from 8-10 a.m. on Christmas morning. If you find yourself with an “empty nest”, the kids and grandkids not coming till later in the day or you simply feel the need to share the joy of the day with someone who may just need a smile, consider attending.
