On Saturday October 1st, Leola UMC's Fellowship Hall was buzzing with the Eleventh Annual Kensill Fund for Hope Benefit Auction. Bidders were on hand from the community and from Philadelphia's Mid-Town Parish United Methodist Church.  A yard sale and chicken barbeque was held outside in 50 degree weather.

Organized by Mary Yohe with the help of numerous volunteers and Auctioneer Tracey Jones, the event raised nearly $11,000.  A large group from MidTown donated over $1,000 and added to the spirited bidding.

Over the last 11 years, the auction has raised $91,000 to support the Kensill Fund for Hope.  The proceeds support higher education scholarships.
