Mark your calendars now for Saturday, October 3, 2015 for
the Kensill Fund for Hope Auction starting at noon. It is a great time of fun
and fellowship, but most importantly, it is the annual event our church holds to
contribute to the Kensill Fund for Hope, an Advance Special of the Eastern
Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church
used to provide scholarships for students who participate in the ministries of
the Mid-Town Parish
United Methodist
Church in North
Philadelphia.
Joel Fisher will again have his delicious chicken on sale for us that day - starting at 10 AM. Additional luncheon items will be available in the kitchen prior to and during the auction. Tracey Jones will be our auctioneer. So come early to enjoy lunch and have a fun time at the auction. This year we will not have the usual yard sale, but you may bring, display and sell your own items by "renting" a table for $10 for that morning. The "rent" will go to KFH. Please contact Mary Yohe if you wish to have a table. What can you do to help? Donate new or gently used items for the auction; think of
services, dinners, food or activities you can donate (we will print up
certificates for these); talk to friends with shops or businesses to solicit
donations; and let a Mission Committee member know if you would like to help
with the auction in any way. We would greatly appreciate help before and during
the day of the auction. When and where can I take my donations?
Donations may be placed in Fellowship Hall on Saturday, September 19 and Saturday, September 26. The church will be open those days from 10 AM to 2 PM to drop off items. To arrange other times to drop off items, you may call Mary Yohe or the church office at 656.7600. Our thanks in advance to your continued support! The
Missions Committee
