In recognition of Martin Luther King Day our worship will include several spirituals.  With racial tension running high in many cities across the United States we commit to continuing to fight the sin of racism.

          One of the songs makes the promise and claim, “We shall overcome, we shall overcome, we shall overcome some day.  Oh, deep in my heart I do believe we shall overcome some day.”

          Together we work to make Dr. King’s dream a reality, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
