Matt Hoffman - Eagle Scout Recognition

posted May 17, 2011, 10:22 AM by Lois Kerchner
On Sunday, May 22 we will be recognizing Matt Hoffman, who has achieved the Eagle Scout Award.   Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program.  A Scout who attains this rank is called an Eagle Scout or Eagle. Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than 2 million young men. Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges and demonstrating Scout Spirit through the Boy Scout Oath and Law, service, and leadership.
Also involved is an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages.   Matt’s project was building the shed (pictured on the left) for the church.
Come and celebrate with Matt!  As a church family, we are proud of Matt and this accomplishment.
