On Sunday, Leola UMC celebrated Pastor Randy Smith's six years of service.  During the church service and at the reception held after the 10:30 service many tributes were voiced about his ministry at Leola UMC.

"Thanks Randy, you have a heart for the Lord",
"I'm blessed to know Randy for the past three years, thanks for everything he's done for me and the youth."
"Thanks for being there for us when Ron was in his accident"
"...exemplifies the heart of Jesus Christ."
"he has a heart for God"
"Randy served the whole church"  (regarding SuperSeniors)
"Thank you for your work in this (contemporary) service."
"You became a part of our family and our church."
"He has been friend, mentor, pastor to me."
Pastor Tim voiced this thanks for Randy's help with the transition in Tim's first year of ministry at LUMC.

Pastor Randy spoke at the reception about how he came to serve Leola by saying "Lord, I've followed you everywhere."  For now, he said he will remain a part of the Leola community and that we shouldn't think that his career change means he won't be around town.

He finished with advice that he has lived by, "turnaround and invest in someone else."

In the finest Methodist tradition three cakes to celebrate the occasion!
