Pentecost and Memorial Weekend

posted Apr 27, 2012, 7:48 AM by Lois Kerchner
On Memorial Weekend we will remember and give thanks to God for all persons who served in the Armed Forces, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice of giving their lives for our country.  All Veterans present will be recognized as a way of saying thank you.
Later in the service, we will celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit.  On the first Pentecost, fifty days following Easter, the church was born and seemingly instantaneously grew to more than 3,000 members.
