Holy Thursday—April 17

People found last year’s Foot Washing service meaningful so we will once again hold a Foot Washing service at 6:00 p.m.   Persons will have the opportunity to symbolically wash someone else’s feet and then have your own feet washed.   We will humble ourselves and take on the role of a true servant as Jesus did.

Worship Service with Holy Communion will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Jesus was looking forward to spending an evening with his disciples. Jesus knew what would happen to him later that night and Friday.  While at times it might have appeared that Jesus was a victim, he was actually in control.

Good Friday—April 18

The Conestoga Valley Ministerium will hold a Community Good Friday worship service at Breakout Ministries at 7:00 p.m.  Breakout Ministries is located 2400 Anita Court, Leola, off of Forest Hills Road, behind Eurofins Lancaster Labs.

Pastor Tim along with other area pastors will be taking part in the service.  Special music will also be offered.

Easter Sunrise Service—April 20

Easter Sunrise service will again be held at the Leola Community Park at 6:30 a.m.  Pastor George Weaver will bring an inspiring message based on Matthew 28:1-10.

Remember to bring your own lawn-chairs.  In the event of rain the service will be held in the Sanctuary.

                                       Easter Breakfast

Breakfast will be served in Fellowship Hall beginning at 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. following the sunrise service or Easter morning.   The breakfast will be hosted by the Bible Study Sunday school class.  As an added treat freshly made pancakes will also be available.

                                              Easter Sunday Celebration

Mary Magdalene exclaimed as she exited the graveyard. “I have seen the Lord.”
At our 9:00 AM Traditional service we are pleased to announce that Cody Mellinger will treat us with special music.  Cody is the grandson of Ivan and JoAnn Mellinger and has previously played the trumpet at our church.  He is currently attending West Chester University.
Contemporary service and Sunday school are held at 10:30 a.m.
